Summer is almost here!

One of my favorite things about the summer time is a binge-worthy summer read. I think Beneath the Peaks is exactly that! I furiously wrote BTP over the summer last year and finished editing it over the winter holidays! I am SO SO SO excited to share this small town romance with a dash of suspense with you guys. And of course, there is also spice because…well ya know lol. This steamy romance is set in the Colorado mountains and follows Adelaide (our firecracker FMC) and Colt (the sweetest golden retriever man you will ever meet). I poured so much of myself into Adelaide and her BFF (because anyone who knows me knows I adore a good side character). Adelaide and Evereigh are a duo for sure. The entire time I was writing, I fantasized about the throes of small-town living and hot cowboys! Another surprise on the way!

I have once again, started drafting another project. I don’t know what it is, but something about the summertime has me itching to write a small town romance. I don’t know about you guys, but sometimes I desperately need a short digestible read that I can finish in an hour. So, what do I do? I write one for those of you who have that urge too! I have a small series of novella’s coming out that will take place in the small town of Cedar Bluff Montana! And the long-awaited surprise reveal of the characters in PC has arrived! I returned to my dark romance roots in January and finally began drafting Professor Consumed, the third installment of the Professor’s Series. This will follow our sweet pixie art professor, Ruby Northwood, and her masked lover. You may remember her from Chase and Emma’s wedding in book two. Reign often used Ruby’s kiln to cover up his dealings and had a couple of interactions with her in Professor Unhinged. My sweet girl sure has a wild story, and her masked stranger is no exception. I finally have a blurb reveal I wanted to share with you all, and pre-orders are finally here!

Ruby:

I had spent my life hiding behind a mask. Perfect smiles, flawless lectures, and a facade of happiness teaching art at Dade University. No one knew the truth. No one knew that behind closed doors, everything was crumbling down. The brick and mortar were separating like a fractured bone. My world felt more fragile than the walls of a decaying castle.

But then, the break-in happened. Violent. Terrifying. It shattered more than just my peace of mind. Someone had started watching me. Someone who knew the turmoil my heart had been soaked in for the last decade. I wasn’t just being haunted. I was being hunted.

Kage:

I came to her in the dark, a shadow cloaked in danger, masked and hungry. And only she would satiate the ravenous need coursing through my veins. She knew me. She smiled at me. She licked her lips when our eyes collided. Her cheeks pinkened when my gaze crawled up and down her body. I loved her, and it was only a matter of time until she loved me too.

As our encounters grew more intense, my obsession bloomed like bruises on her skin. The dark seeds of my affections couldn’t be hidden. She danced through my dreams the way I swayed in her nightmares. She's starting to see that I had been there all along.

She was starting to see that my love would consume her very soul forever.

This story has been so much fun to write! I love writing about tragic relationships and the love that can bloom from the ashes. So, if that’s your guilty pleasure, too, you will EAT THIS ONE UP! I will be doing a paperback cover reveal soon as well as introducing you all to the hot MMC that takes residence in Ruby’s life. One of my favorite things lately, besides writing and reading (the usual), has been crafting! I’ve had the best time making bookish merch like bookmarks, decals, and stickers. Eventually, I want to expand on what I offer with the purchase of signed paperbacks, but for now, the creative juices are mostly flowing for writing!
